In celebration of Southern Leyte State University’s 20th Charter Anniversary, Mr. and Ms. SLSU 2024 successfully concluded tonight, March 4, 2024, at the SLSU Multi-Purpose Court (MPC).

Mr. Main Campus and Ms. Hinunangan Campus were crowned as this year’s Mr. and Ms. SLSU.

Six pairs coming from the different campuses of SLSU competed in the said pageant. Donning emerald outfits during the Production Number, the vibrant green color symbolizes the university’s 20-year history of excellence. The contestants also ramp up the stage in the Sports Wear, Swimwear, and Formal Wear categories.

In an interview, Ms. Hinunangan said she felt nervous about winning the pageant as she faced the immense pressure of bringing the whole SLSU with her. But still, she is grateful and ecstatic now that she is the Miss SLSU 2024.

“I felt that I am ‘destined’ to compete and win this pageant,” she added.

Mr. Main Campus, after saying that he “was in a mixed emotion, nerve-wracking experience,” he dedicated his gratefulness to the opportunity and the people behind his success.
