The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering – Southern Leyte State University Student Chapter (PICE-SLSU SC) held its Passers’ Recognition program for the new batch of newly Registered Civil Engineers (RCEs) who recently passed the November 2023 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination, earlier today at the Multi-Purpose Court (MPC), November 30, 2023.

The program proper started after the ritual parade of passers, which in this year was done through a motorcade.

Present during the program were the 34 passers from the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE), who took turns to deliver their inspirational messages as the highlight of the main event, containing their insights, advice, and experiences from being a student to reviewing their journey in becoming a registered civil engineer.

Dr. Annabelle M. Hufalar, Vice President for Students and Auxillary Services, expressed her gratitude over the high number of passers and the passing percentage, stating that the achievement not only marks theirselves but also marks the SLSU.

College of Engineering Dean Engr. Julius O. Paler ended the program with his closing message encompassing that the 53.97% overall performance in CELE results November 2023 and SLSU landing top 20 in performing schools across the Philippines, will only be the start of the future accomplishments of the College of Engineering (CoE) and its departments.

The passers recognition is also one of the programs of the 3rd PICE SLSU Summit 2023, from November 28 until November 30, in recognizing both the new successful engineers and students for their endeavors in the field of civil engineering.
Instructors, staff, students, family and friends of the passers, and the heads of the different departments in the College of Engineering attended the said activity.
