To nurture journalists’ minds through insights from communication experts and media practitioners, the Campus Headliner student publication, represented by Mr. Exekiel Ed Elizan, Adviser, and Lyka Jane Quimno, Associate Editor, attended the Pinoy Media Congress held on April 24-25, 2025, at the University of Makati. The event, hosted by ABS-CBN and the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE), drew at least 1,000 students and teachers from 60 universities and colleges nationwide.

The Pinoy Media Congress was highlighted by the presence of ABS-CBN President and CEO, Mr. Carlo Katigbak, alongside a lineup of distinguished industry professionals, including ABS-CBN COO Ms. Cory Vidanes, Television and Radio hosts Amy Perez and Winnie Cordero, and Kuantie/Momshie Melai Cantiveros. They tackled a wide range of topics spanning from radio broadcasting to public relations, covering digital news, lifestyle media by METRO, filmmaking, film restoration, ABS-CBN music, television entertainment, and TV hosting. Plus, several media personalities, including PBB Gen 11 housemates, MYX VJs, BGYO, and 1621, surprised the participants.

As a platform for knowledge sharing and exchange, the event additionally aims to bring together students and professionals to discuss best practices and trends in media and communication. With a focus on promoting excellence in journalism and media production, the congress provided The Campus Headliner team with invaluable opportunities to learn from industry experts, network with peers, and hone their skills in the field.
