The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Southern Leyte State University-Main Campus organized a series of games and events to celebrate the Acquaintance Party this academic year, September 1, 2023, at the SLSU’s Grandstand.

The Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Dewoowoogen P. Baclayon, said in his welcome address that the celebration was purposely done to have the freshmen students create new relationships with the seniors and the new environment.

Later in the evening, the Hudyaka Performing Arts – Glee Club performed their winning piece during the 2023 ASEAN Celebration of CHED VIII. Moreover, the SLSU Acoustic Band prepared a few songs to entertain the students, and an awarding was done shortly after.

All colleges and departments were involved in the activity: College of Criminal Justice (CCJ), College of Engineering (CoE), Department of Teachers’ Education (DTE), College of Computer Studies and Information Technology (CCSIT), College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), and College of Technology (CoT).
