Southern Leyte State University-Main Campus (SLSU-MC) gave recognition to the 19 Newly Licensed Mechanical Engineers and five new Master Plumbers of the recently concluded ME Licensure Exam February 2024 this morning, March 18, 2024 at the Multi-Purpose Court (MPC).

The recognition program aimed for the new engineers and master plumbers, during the passer’s speech, to share their advice and experiences in their journey as students and board exam takers.

The University President, Dr.Jude A. Duarte, and the new Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Constantino G. Medilo Jr., also graced the morning event.

In the afternoon program, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers-SLSU Student Unit organized a post activity called ME-DAUG: Inspiring Journeys & Shared Triumphs, where the Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department discussed various topics about how to strengthen the reputation of the program (course) in the coming years.

The College of Engineering Dean, Engr. Julius O. Paler with the Department Head of ME, Engr. Rey Joseph C. Capilitan, faculty, new RMEs, and ME students attended the event.

The event ended with a ‘huddle’ session, a discussion to share the tips and advice of the newly passed mechanical engineers to the hatchling engineering kingfishers who are eager to pass the next ME Board Examination.
