CCJ holds Recognition Program for February 2024 CLE Passers

The College of Criminal Justice (CCJ) held a recognition program for the February 2024 Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) passers today, May 3, 2024, at the Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) Multi-Purpose Court (MPC).

Arranged by the Criminal Justice Students Organization (CJSO), the faculty and staff of CCJ and its students gathered at the venue to witness and celebrate the success of the new batch of criminologists, both as seniors and as students.

Highlighted as the most awaited event, a selected few CLE passers shared their experiences and advice in conquering the CLE with their fellow juniors during the testimonial speech segment of the program.

On behalf of the University President, Dr. Jude A. Duarte, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Constantino G. Medilo, Jr., attended the event with his inspirational message for the new batch of Registered Criminologists. He emphasized during his speech that taking a board examination is “not merely to pass but to excel,” challenging aspiring students to always aim for the top spot.

Hon. Christopherson “Coco” M. Yap, Representative of the 2nd District, Southern Leyte, also graced the invitation of the college as he attended the event, giving his congratulations and support to the students, the CCJ faculty, and the institution for the significant achievement in the CLE as SLSU ranked 5th in the Top Performing Schools for the February 2024 CLE after garnering a 93.44% school passing rate.

A video presentation ended the program, a recollection of memories of the passers from their student days, reviewing stage, and finally, a licensed criminologist.
