On January 19, 2023, at SLSU- Multipurpose Court, the Supreme Student Council, under the direction of Student Development Services, in conjunction with the Health Services of Southern Leyte State University, launched the awareness campaign to battle the increasing number of HIV/AIDS cases in the province. The exercise also included a discussion on dengue-related material. Vice President for Students and Auxiliary Services, Dr. Juanita M. Costillas, attended the awareness campaign and spoke to the students.
